Ultimeter 2100 Airport Weather Station
$399.00 $349.00 On Sale!
The ULTIMETER 2100 has all the features an airport could ever want. It includes barometic pressure and numeric pressure change over a 3 hour period (which is the U.S. Weather Service standard interval) plus a preset barometric storm alert, wind speed, wind direction, outdoor temperature, indoor temperature, wind chill, time, date, and (with optional sensors), indoor humidity, outdoor humidity, dew point and rainfall. A 3 bank memory system retains hi and low readings over specified time periods. If for example you had a storm two weeks ago the computer will retain all extreme values for weeks later, yet still display all of today's highest and lowest readings as well as all of yesterday's highs and lows. It also displays the exact time and date every high and low occurred. Each long term high and low memory can be reset individually or you can use a master reset to clear all long term high and low memories simultaneously. This feature makes it very easy to keep monthly records or to monitor the highs and lows while you are away. A 4 mode serial port can accept remote commands, making it easy to communicate with external devices to transmit the data or collect it remotely by phone, modem, or radio link. (see optional software below) The 5 minute packet mode is perfect for economical radio "beacon" transmission. The System includes continuous static electricity discharge protection for all outdoor sensors and a 3 prong grounded AC adapter on 110Vt systems. The system even features a unique adjustable flash flood alert, which is compatible with the rain gauge sensor. A predictive battery test circuit warns you when the battery is getting weak. Additionally the system has a full array of adjustable alarms and an optional electrical alarm output. The ULTIMETER 2100 is the best full capability low cost weather station you can buy. Our standard ULTIMETER 2100 Weather Station Includes a 16-Button Keyboard/Display unit with pressure sensor, indoor temperature sensor and serial data port; wind sensor; outdoor temperature sensor; junction box with static electricity protection; AC adapter (110 volt adapter is 3-prong grounded type); desk stand; installation and operating manual, cables, and cable ties.
NEWS!!!!! We have added even more features and capability to the ULTIMETER 2100! They include: Wind Direction in Degrees - Celsius Temps in .1 degree - Heat Index - Temperature Offset - Humidity Offset - 19,200 Baud Rate - 4x Faster Serial Data Output - Improved Humidity Calibration - 7 Days and Long Term Memories - "Enhanced Complete Record" Mode - Perpetual Calendar - Serial Text Output.
HOT TIPS!!
I am very impressed with Ultimeter 2100. It’s beautifully built and we have never had a failure of any unit we have sold (knock on wood). The keypad/display of the Ultimeter 2100 is easy to use and the brilliant blue display backlight provides visibility in darkness or lowlight conditions.
If you interface the 2100 to your computer it can transmit all of its data to a remote location by way of a radio link, continous/packet, or the internet. You can even design a web page to view the weather from any-where in the world.
The Storm Alert and Rain rate Alert are terrific features. If the pressure drops more than 0.18 inch over the previous 3 hours an alarm can sound indicating an impending storm. The rain rate alarm can serve as an adjustable flash flood alert.
Depending on your location remember to upgrade to a heated wind vane and anemometer to be sure that freezing conditions will not cause problems.
Assembly of the anemometer/wind vane unit is very easy. The anemometer/wind vane should be installed on an aluminum mast since too much iron in a steel mast could interfere with the magnets in the sensor. A couple of hose clamps work perfectly to mount the sensor and wire ties handle the cable. The system also includes static electricity discharge protection for all the outdoor sensors. If you get the optional rain gauge be sure you mount it in the open, away from over-hanging trees, well clear of any structure that might block blowing rain, and easily accessible for periodic inspection and cleaning. Ground mounting works fine was well. Installing the outdoor humidity and temperature sensor is very simple. Its installation must be in the shade, where it can never receive direct sunlight, protected from wind and rain, so air can circulate freely around it, away from incidental heat sources, such as roof circulation vents, and not directly above radiated or reflected heat sources, such as cement patios or large windows.
The system is perfect for airport use and highly recommended.

Ultimeter Pro Electronic Rain Gauge
$99.00 $89.00 On Sale!
The ULTIMETER "PRO" electronic rain gauge features superb accuracy and reliability. Although it empties itself automatically, it has absolutely no adjustments and no moving parts - the long term accuracy and reliability are molded in! Operating on a drop-counting principle, the PRO Rain Gauge senses every one-thousandth inch of rain and reports each one-hundredth inch back to the ULTIMETER Weather Station. In spite of its amazing resolution, the PRO gauge can handle "world record" class rain rates of more than 10 inches per hour! Pivot bearings in the tipping bucket mechanisms are metal (stainless steel) and not plastic, for free motion and longevity. They are high volume buckets to virtually eliminate jamming caused by dust, pollen, webs, etc. The larger the bucket volume, the more water weight is available to drive the tipping action. Large collector diameters provides the best rainfall samples and the high vertical sidewalls prevent splash-out of rain from the collector funnel. Each gauge is individually calibrated for optimum accuracy and can be left outdoors in winter conditions without damage. The accuracy of the PRO gauge begins with its exclusive parabolic funnel that traps wind driven rain so it won't splash out. Rain is funneled into a precision drop forming tube, much like those you'd see in a hospital IV bottle. Each uniform drop coming out of the tube is equivalent to exactly 0.001 inches of rain. Each uniform drop falling from the tube is detected by four gold plated sensing electrodes that signal an electronic counting circuit. After each ten drops this circuit sends a signal to the ULTIMETER keyboard indicating that another hundredth inch of rain has fallen. The PRO Rain Gauge is 5 1/8" high and has a maximum diameter of 4 1/2". It can mount directly on any 1" pvc post or on an optional universal mounting bracket. The PRO Rain Gauge includes a 40 foot, 4-conductor cable that makes power and signal connections to the junction box of the Ultimeter 2100 Weather Station. No moving parts; no adjustments; self-emptying; measures in 0.01 inch (0.25 mm) increments. With 40 foot 4-conductor cable.
