Voice Alert NAV VNS-1000 VoiceNav
$1,489.00
The perfect guidance system for ILS, VOR, and GPS instrument approaches. It is the only
aural deviation indicator available on the market today! This System makes
ILS and GPS approaches much easier by adding voice prompts to the visual guidance
provided by your single or cross pointer course, glideslope, or GPS indicators.
It makes flying much easier when distractions such as in-flight emergencies,
pilot fatigue, and turbulence occur. It easily interfaces with your ILS navigation
equipment to provide audio localizer & glideslope guidance. The same signals
which drive the CDI or HSI indicator left-right needle and up-down needle
are used to determine appropriate audio correction messages. In addition,
audio course guidance is provided for VOR and GPS approaches as well as back
course approaches! A pilot is advised in the same manner as would be experienced
during a Precision Radar Approach (PAR) and is a perfect training aid for
these types of approaches. Because of the constant reminder to correct even
small deviations, and being prompted to limit the magnitude of the corrective
action, it is also a valuable tool to polish pilot skills during practice
approaches. The VNS1000 requires no test equipment to check. Input signals
and internal system functions are continuously monitored internally for correctness
and any discrepancies are immediately announced. The VNS1000 is designed to
be totally fail safe! Input signal connections simply parallel existing Navigation
Radio/Indicator Converter or GPS outputs making installation easy. The VNS-1000
electronically sees your nav indicator and tells you how to correct to get
back on course. We include a complete installation kit which includes all
required hardware and drill template for a panel mount, a color coded wiring
harness with an integral connector, and a detailed Operating and Installation
Manual. THE VNS-1000 IS FULLY STC AND PMA APPROVED FOR ALL AIRCRAFT FEATURES
ON NEARLY ALL AIRCRAFT UNDER 12,500 LBS.

" ...this system is a necessity. A single pilot can
easily become overwhelmed in the heavy workload of an approach even with a
good autopilot. As such this system is a must for the safety of these aircraft.
It is an additional monitor for the pilot and utilizes not shared mental resources
of the brain. This means that it will alert the pilot to any potential problems
on the approach (such as undetected autopilot failure) before these problems
become irreversible."

HOT TIP!! Using modern computer technology
VNS has developed a system that anyone flying IFR will love. The voice prompts
are terrific! Just think about how much easier an IFR approach to minimums
in turbulence would be if course guidence was given audibly! The VNS1000 is
one of those revolutionary items that can really make flying safer!
