D100
Dynon's EFIS-D100 is the most affordable large screen Electronic Flight Information System on the market today. Based on the best-selling EFIS-D10A, the 7" wide-screen display features large, easy to read text and graphics and is capable of displaying multiple pages side by side in a split-screen format. The instrument integrates multiple flight instruments, including airspeed, altitude, gyro-stabilized magnetic compass, turn rate, slip/skid ball, bank angle, and vertical speed. Other useful functions include a clock/timer, g-meter, voltmeter and density altitude/true airspeed calculator.

The EFIS-D100 High Resolution Screen features a 7” diagonal, color LCD which boasts the highest resolution in its class. The stunning display enables split-screen viewing to augment the primary EFIS data with other pages of information called up by the pilot. Six buttons arranged along the bottom of the screen serve as the interface to the softkey-driven menu system for easy access to in-flight functions and setting pilot preferences.

Dynon's advanced ADAHRS (Air Data, Attitude and Heading Reference System) integrates over a dozen solid-state sensors that deliver exceptional performance and reliability. With the exception of the remote compass, the ADAHRS is built inside the EFIS-D100 instrument housing, saving installation time and space. Each ADAHRS undergoes a rigorous calibration regime at the factory to ensure accuracy over its full operating range. Unlike mechanical gyros, Dynon's rugged design is tolerant to aggressive flight maneuvers, automatically corrects itself anytime its gyros capabilities are exceeded, and cannot be damaged by aerobatics or unusual attitudes. EFIS-D100 utilizes an embedded, multi-processor design that delivers real-time performance and stability. This purpose-built design is unencumbered by burdensome operating systems that typically slow down performance and require long boot times. Dynon's software design enables complete control to maximize execution speed and deliver robust reliability. A hallmark of the EFIS-D100's performance and a great safety feature is its ability to display the correct attitude within a few seconds of being powered on while in flight.

A unique safety feature available from Dynon is its optional AOA/Pitot that combines Angle-of Attack (AOA) and airspeed sensing into a single pitot design. The AOA capability assists pilots on approaches and generates an alert signal for audible annunciation whenever nearing stall conditions. To guard against a power failure scenario, the EFIS-D100 may be optionally equipped with a Li-Ion Backup Battery. When power loss is detected, the instrument will automatically notify the pilot and immediately begin running on battery power for a minimum of 1.5 hours, enabling a safe landing.

The EFIS-D100 is equipped with a PC serial interface which provides the capability of uploading up to 25 user-defined lists for use as checklists, aviation data or other information that pilots wish to keep handy. The PC interface additionally facilitates downloading lifetime free firmware updates from Dynon's website. Any cockpit equipped with more than one Dynon instrument can benefit from the connection capability that comes via the Dynon Smart Avionics Bus (DSAB). When linked via DSAB, pages displayed on one instrument may be shared across the bus for display on any other Dynon instrument. DSAB not only allows you to share the fun with your co-pilot but delivers any Dynon generated data directly to the instrument in front of you whenever you call upon it.

EFD1000Pilot300pix.jpg Aspen Avionics Evolution EFD-1000 PILOT PFD (Primary Flight Display)
$11,995.00 $10,689.00 On Sale!
efd1000

The EFD1000 Pilot PFD is a big step up—in features, reliability, accuracy and safety—from the analog gauges it’s designed to replace. Yet it costs little more than overhauling those two primary instruments.

Your GPS flight plan legs and waypoints can be shown right on top of your compass rose. So you can see at a glance where you are relative to your course, making it a breeze to follow your VFR GPS flight plan. And the picture is right in front of you, on a bright, color display that’s higher-resolution, and probably larger, than your GPS over in the center stack.

The built-in air data computer shows you wind speed and direction at all times, with an arrow to help you visualize the winds aloft. And knowing your indicated airspeed, altitude and outside air temperature, the air data computer (ADC) constantly displays your true airspeed (TAS).

If you’re flying with an ordinary Directional Gyro (DG) today, you’ll love never again having to set your DG to your whiskey compass. And the heading bug makes it easy to fly your wind-corrected heading to hold course.

The built-in altitude alerter lets you set your target altitudes for climbs and descents, alerting you to when it’s time to level off, and again if you drift too far from the altitude you are holding.

A built-in battery backup, and emergency VFR GPS navigator, will keep all your critical instruments working, even in the event of a vacuum pump or total electrical system failure, when everything else in your cockpit goes dark.

With all these and many other features, the EFD1000 Pilot PFD takes you far beyond your old analog gauges, and makes your flying easier and safer, at a price that’s easy to afford. And when your flying evolves to need serious IFR instrumentation, a simple and cost-effective software upgrade can turn your Pilot into a Pro, protecting your original investment. .

EFD1000Pro500pixpersp.jpg Aspen Avionics Evolution EFD-1000 PRO PFD (Primary Flight Display)
$16,995.00 $14,489.00 On Sale!
efd1000pro

The EFD1000 Pro PFD gives you all the major tools that help professional pilots fly safely and easily in instrument conditions, at a breakthrough price. The Pro has all the same great features as the Pilot PFD—integral ADAHRS, backup battery, emergency GPS, altitude alerter—plus a whole lot more.

The Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) integrates a course pointer and course deviation indicator (CDI) onto your slaved compass rose, and adds two bearing pointers that you can set to any VOR or GPS waypoint, for added situational awareness (and making DME arcs a breeze to fly!). Text information about your active waypoint is right there in front of you.

Arc mode is ideal for the en-route segment, showing your own ship at the bottom of the screen, your flight plan legs ahead of you, and nearby navaids and airports around you on a moving map. With optional software, you can even overlay datalink weather graphics and traffic on the map.

The Attitude Director Indicator (ADI) shows the same accurate attitude with airspeed and altitude tapes as the Pilot, and adds more. In approach mode, you’ll have lateral and vertical deviation indicators, along with your approach minimums, right there on the ADI for a tight scan during this critical phase of flight. You’ll get an alert when you reach barometric minimums, and a DH annunciator will illuminate at AGL minimums (when connected to a radar altimeter).

The Pro couples to most GA autopilots and flight directors, through its included Analog Converter Unit (ACU). You’ll lose no functionality when replacing your mechanical HSI and ADI, and may gain some. An integral GPS Steering (GPSS) function can drive your autopilot in HDG mode through most GPS flight plan legs and course changes, and even along curved flight paths (like course reversals and holding patterns) when connected to an appropriate WAAS GPS navigator. If your autopilot supports a flight director, but your current attitude indicator doesn’t, the Pro will give you a single-cue flight director that will make your hand flying even easier, more accurate and safer. The Pro delivers all the capabilities a serious instrument pilot needs on his or her primary instruments. And if you want even more, a simple software upgrade will take the Pro up to our highest-level PFD: the ATP..

Garmin G600 Glass Cockpit for Production Aircraft
$29,772.00
G-600
Until now, the only way for customers to fly with a Garmin glass cockpit was to buy it factory-installed on a new aircraft. But with the introduction of Garmin’s new G600 system, after-market glass retrofit becomes a viable (and affordable) option. Using technology derived from Garmin’s popular G1000™ avionics system, the new G600 package replaces old-style mechanical instruments in the panel with sleek, large-format LCD displays. Two 6.5-inch diagonal screens (PFD and MFD) are vertically positioned, side-by-side, in one 10-inch-wide bezel that fits neatly into the panel space vacated by the standard “six-pack” of 3-inch flight instruments. For spatial reference, the system features a solid-state Attitude Heading and Reference System (AHRS), with additional comparative inputs provided by GPS, magnetometer and digital air data computer. Interface the G600 with a WAAS-upgraded avionics suite, and you have all the features and capabilities of integrated solutions costing thousands more. By referencing built-in terrain and mapping databases, the G600 provides a clear, concise picture of where you are and where you’re heading. Various options and upgrades offer even more capability: A GTX 330 will display TIS traffic information; a GDL69/69A will provide the full range of XM WX products plus digital music and entertainment on more than 170 channels available by subscription to XM. An upgrade to certified Class B TAWS is also available. Plus, optional Jeppesen Chartview™ enables the G600 to display approach, departure and arrival charts, along with airport surface diagrams. Garmin’s new SafeTaxi™ feature, provided with the system, shows detailed maps of over 650 U.S. airports – including taxiways, structures, and your exact location in reference to the runway surfaces. Terrain Alerting is also a standard feature, along with Garmin’s extensive and highly detailed base map. For easy installation and certification, Garmin is planning to provide an Approved Model List (AML) STC covering approximately 400 aircraft models. APG - Eastern avionics Intl. is accepting advanced orders on the G600 for May 2008 delivery with a 10% deposit.
