The BECKER ATC-4401-175 and ATC-4401-250 are among the newest transponders
we offer. The ATC-4401 comes in two versions: the 4401-175 which is TSO'd
to 15,000 ft and the 4401-250 which is a high power model designed for altitudes
to FL 50.0 Both versions are designed to be mounted in a standard 2 1/4" (57mm)
round instrument panel cut-out and are only 9" deep. They feature a clear,
high contrast, double line LCD display, which is readable under all lighting
conditions, even bright sunlight. When an altitude encoder is connected, the
reported altitude is displayed below the transponder code to verify correct
operation of the entire system. Any of the standard 4096 identification codes
can easily be chosen by the rotary selector switches. Two preset identification
codes, for VFR flight or other purposes, can be entered from the front panel
and stored in nonvolatile memory for instant recall by a single key stroke.
These transponders are suitable in all types of fixed wing and rotary wing
aircraft, operate from both 14 and 28 volt input power and are certified for
both VFR and IFR operations. They comply with the requirements of JTSO C74c,
class 2A (ATC-4401-175) and class 1A (ATC-4401-250). Low power consumption,
coupled with small size and weight and high altitude reporting capability
(50,000 ft. ATC-4401-250) make them an ideal selection as a primary transponder
in the smallest and tightest of instrument panels as well as a standby transponder
for larger aircraft, where interruptions in transponder operation cannot be
tolerated. Weight only 1.6 lbs.

CALL FOR CURRENT PRICING!
The Becker ATC-3401 is certified in accordance with FAA TSO
C47c, Class 1A, for the highest level of unrestricted service to 62,700 feet.
It displays the 4096 ID Squawk code in its left window, and its operating
mode or Flight Level Altitude in its right window. A stored VFR code, such
as 1200, can be quickly recalled with a VFR push button. The IDENT can be
remotely controlled from a button on the control stick and even power can
be remotely switched. The complete system is housed in a single compact ARINC
DZUS mounted unit. It does not require the remote boxes, interconnecting cables,
or external forced air cooling, which are typical of older transponder designs
in this performance class. It is lighter in weight and easier to install than
any other manufacturer's product with comparable performance. Because of their
efficient design and rugged construction, ATC 3401 transponders have established
an enviable record of trouble free service, even in the hostile environments
of commercial helicopter and military aircraft installations. Like all Becker
PrimeLine avionics equipment, the ATC 3401 transponders combine modern technology
and compact size to provide superior performance. Clear LCD displays, which
are readable in the brightest sunlight show the active code and the reported
flight level. Dependable controls with excellent tactile feedback, and temperature
protected microprocessor frequency selection with non-volatile memory are
used in the system. Remote tuning via data bus can be provided. To facilitate
dual transponder installations, provisions are included for automatic transfer
of one transponder to the standby mode, when the other transponder is selected
for normal This prevents both transponders transmitting at the same time.
