Aspen Avionics AT300 MFD
$2,995.00 $2,789.00 On Sale!
Compatible with virtually all panel mounted GPS navigation systems, the AT300
provides an easy upgrade to add color moving map technology to older GPS systems.
The unit's high-resolution sunlight readable color LCD presents a large moving
map display that shows both top-view and side-view terrain presentations, a
full-time vertical speed display, a full time height above ground display, a
GPS moving map display, and next waypoint textual navigation data.
The AT300 provides an intuitive display of surrounding terrain and obstacles
by showing terrain topology and man-made obstacles in shades of red, yellow
and green. Instantaneous height above ground is also displayed whenever the
aircraft is below 20,000 ft AGL. The size and quality of the AT300 moving map
area is equal to or better than most panel mount GPS navigators.
The Vertical Speed Indicator on the left edge of the AT300 display provides
a graphical indication of aircraft vertical speeds to ±2000 feet per minute
(FPM). A digital indicator supplements the graphical VSI display, providing
a digital readout of vertical speeds up to a maximum value of 9900 FPM.
Installation Installation of the AT300 is simple. Even if you have no free
instrument holes or empty room in your panel, you can still install the AT300!
The unit uses the same mechanical mounting as a standard 3 VSI and includes
VSI functionality, allowing it to easily replace that instrument. Simply mount
the AT300 into the existing VSI instrument panel cutout and provide electrical
power, GPS serial data, and static pressure from the VSI pneumatic connection,
and the installation is complete.
The AT300 moving-map Hazard Awareness Display offers advanced digital signal
processing, surface mount electronics, and high reliability LED backlights in
an innovative, affordable, and compact design. Using an internal static pressure
sensor, the AT300 directly measures barometric altitude and vertical speed.
From this information, sophisticated software algorithms analyze the aircraft
altitude and position to render a detailed terrain and obstacle map. Making
extensive use of the same aerospace grade components found in far more expensive
systems, the AT300 features application-specific embedded software in a custom-designed
electronic package, allowing it to deliver the functionality and reliability
expected of real avionics. Use of advanced technology allows the AT300 to adopt
the compact 3 inch instrument format. This makes it easy to install, and also
makes it easy to incorporate moving map navigation and terrain awareness information
into your primary instrument scan, even under the most demanding of IFR conditions.
The AT300 offers almost all of the benefits of a modern electronic HSI display,
without the associated costs or complexity. The AT300 puts a supplemental display
of the active GPS course line, fly-to waypoint, next leg, groundspeed, distance,
bearing and time to waypoint in your primary field of view. This capability
provides instant situational awareness of potential hazards along the active
and next navigation legs, and enhances pilot enroute navigational situation
awareness. Pilot selectable zoom scales of 5nm, 10nm, 20nm, 40nm, 60nm, 80nm
and 100nm let you see the big picture of what lies ahead, as well as the close-in
details of nearby hazards.
The proverb that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" even holds
true for FAA approved Terrain Awareness and Warning Systems (TAWS). These systems
certainly provide excellent protection for high-performance aircraft, but that
does not necessarily hold true for the smaller, performance-limited, piston-engine
aircraft that most of us fly. Unless supplemented by a compatible display, the
30 to 60 seconds CFIT advance aural warning provided by a basic TAWS-B system
may come too late for the pilot of a typical piston-engine aircraft whose terrain
avoidance options may not include out climbing the terrain. The addition of
an optional display to a TAWS system certainly increases pilot terrain awareness,
but also increase TAWS acquisition price. As an effective alternative, the AT300
offers a simple, affordable, dedicated hazard awareness display that any pilot
can use to improve their situational awareness at a fraction of the cost of
competing MFD and TAWS systems.
Every AT300 features a full 2 year warranty from date of retail sale, or installation
by an Aspen Authorized Dealer. Aspen will repair or replace any product, product
component, or software that fails in normal use during the warranty period.

Aspen Avionics Evolution EFD-1000 PILOT PFD (Primary Flight Display)
$11,995.00 $10,689.00 On Sale!
efd1000
The EFD1000 Pilot PFD is a big step up—in features, reliability, accuracy and safety—from the analog gauges it’s designed to replace. Yet it costs little more than overhauling those two primary instruments.
Your GPS flight plan legs and waypoints can be shown right on top of your compass rose. So you can see at a glance where you are relative to your course, making it a breeze to follow your VFR GPS flight plan. And the picture is right in front of you, on a bright, color display that’s higher-resolution, and probably larger, than your GPS over in the center stack.
The built-in air data computer shows you wind speed and direction at all times, with an arrow to help you visualize the winds aloft. And knowing your indicated airspeed, altitude and outside air temperature, the air data computer (ADC) constantly displays your true airspeed (TAS).
If you’re flying with an ordinary Directional Gyro (DG) today, you’ll love never again having to set your DG to your whiskey compass. And the heading bug makes it easy to fly your wind-corrected heading to hold course.
The built-in altitude alerter lets you set your target altitudes for climbs and descents, alerting you to when it’s time to level off, and again if you drift too far from the altitude you are holding.
A built-in battery backup, and emergency VFR GPS navigator, will keep all your critical instruments working, even in the event of a vacuum pump or total electrical system failure, when everything else in your cockpit goes dark.
With all these and many other features, the EFD1000 Pilot PFD takes you far beyond your old analog gauges, and makes your flying easier and safer, at a price that’s easy to afford. And when your flying evolves to need serious IFR instrumentation, a simple and cost-effective software upgrade can turn your Pilot into a Pro, protecting your original investment. . Aspen Avionics Evolution EFD-1000 PRO PFD (Primary Flight Display)
$16,995.00 $14,489.00 On Sale!
efd1000pro
The EFD1000 Pro PFD gives you all the major tools that help professional pilots fly safely and easily in instrument conditions, at a breakthrough price. The Pro has all the same great features as the Pilot PFD—integral ADAHRS, backup battery, emergency GPS, altitude alerter—plus a whole lot more.
The Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) integrates a course pointer and course deviation indicator (CDI) onto your slaved compass rose, and adds two bearing pointers that you can set to any VOR or GPS waypoint, for added situational awareness (and making DME arcs a breeze to fly!). Text information about your active waypoint is right there in front of you.
Arc mode is ideal for the en-route segment, showing your own ship at the bottom of the screen, your flight plan legs ahead of you, and nearby navaids and airports around you on a moving map. With optional software, you can even overlay datalink weather graphics and traffic on the map.
The Attitude Director Indicator (ADI) shows the same accurate attitude with airspeed and altitude tapes as the Pilot, and adds more. In approach mode, you’ll have lateral and vertical deviation indicators, along with your approach minimums, right there on the ADI for a tight scan during this critical phase of flight. You’ll get an alert when you reach barometric minimums, and a DH annunciator will illuminate at AGL minimums (when connected to a radar altimeter).
The Pro couples to most GA autopilots and flight directors, through its included Analog Converter Unit (ACU). You’ll lose no functionality when replacing your mechanical HSI and ADI, and may gain some. An integral GPS Steering (GPSS) function can drive your autopilot in HDG mode through most GPS flight plan legs and course changes, and even along curved flight paths (like course reversals and holding patterns) when connected to an appropriate WAAS GPS navigator. If your autopilot supports a flight director, but your current attitude indicator doesn’t, the Pro will give you a single-cue flight director that will make your hand flying even easier, more accurate and safer. The Pro delivers all the capabilities a serious instrument pilot needs on his or her primary instruments. And if you want even more, a simple software upgrade will take the Pro up to our highest-level PFD: the ATP..
