The Mid-Continent Instruments 4300 Electric
Horizon makes the perfect primary or standby IFR
artificial horizon in any fixed-wing or rotary wing
aircraft. It operates at any voltage from 10-32Vdc
and its 7500hr. MTBF is more than twice that of
most electric gyros. We can provide custom versions
to match any existing instrument/EFIS displays. The optional self-contained battery
backup is strongly recommended. It supplies up to one hour of operation in the event of
an aircraft power failure. Features include: built-in annunciation, internal emergency
lighting, Single connector installation for primary and optional standby battery models,
Anti-reflective glass enhances visibility and reduces fatigue, Field replaceable lighting,
FAA TSO-C4c. 1yr. warranty.

High-stability tungsten rotor operates at lower rotational speed, extending bearing life.
Certification: FAA TSO-C4c RTCA/DO-160D.
Power Input: 10-32 VDC: 1400 mA start, 600 mA max. running at 14 VDC input.
700 mA start, 300 mA max. running at 28 VDC input.
Battery: Rechargeable, sealed lead-acid cells.
Life = 3 years in average aircraft environment.
Runtime = 60 minutes minimum, when fully charged and properly maintained.
Annunciators: Push to engage annunciator. STBY PWR – standby power mode.
TEST – battery test.
Lighting: 5, 14, or 28 VDC; field-replaceable tray wired through main connector.
Glass: Special HEA anti-reflective coating.

The unique warning flag and cageable options are significant features extremely useful upgrades for owners of light general aviation aircraft. The warning flag model instantly alerts the pilot to a loss of pneumatic power, especially important during busy operations when panel scanning is focused on the attitude gyro. The unique cageable attitude provides for quick erection and display alignment; a high priority for aerobatic aircraft owners and for aircraft operations that require short stops.
Sigma Tek's highly reliable and proven attitude gyros are available with electrical pitch and roll outputs for autopilot and other stabilization applications. ARINC style bezel, display graphics, colors, inclinometer, internal lighting, and various panel tilts are all available options. Sigma Tek Gyros can be customized for compatibility with any instrument panel.
ALL ATTITUDE GYROS LISTED BELOW ARE AIR OPERATED INSTRUMENTS THAT INDICATE AIRCRAFT ATTITUDE THROUGH 360 DEGREES IN ROLL AND 360 DEGREES IN PITCH. EACH ATTITUDE GYRO MODEL IS APPROVED UNDER FAA - TSO C4c.
The Standard configuration can replace most air driven gyros with the major difference being in the layout and being lighted or panel tilt.
