PROSCAN FSM2000
FLIGHT SYSTEMS MONITOR, AUDIO ADVISORY AND ANNUNCIATON SYSTEM

The new FSM2000 is the best and most effective aftermarket annunciation system available. Patterned after the proven annunciation systems found in airliners the FSM2000 includes the additional advantages of having a virtual copilot with you through its voice annunciation system. This feature gives you the ability to keep your eyes in the primary scan area and outside the cockpit where they need to be. Don't look at the FSM2000 as a cockpit gadget. It's no gadget. It's like having a copilot to monitor all your critical systems for easy and safe flying. With redundant 100,000-hour Light Emitting Diodes, bulb burn-outs and dangerous bulb changes in flight are eliminated. The FSM2000 uses the latest in surface mount technology and all components are industrial grade for toughness and reliability. Here are the capabilities of the FSM-2000

LANDING GEAR WARNING SYSTEM. The FSM-2000 has the most advanced landing gear warning system on the market. With a standard gear system when you select gear-up or gear-down you never know, without specifically looking, whether the gear cycle has successfully completed. The FSM2000 tells you GEAR UP and GEAR DOWN when the cycles complete. If your gear is up and your airspeed falls bellow your normal traffic pattern airspeed the system will remind you to CHECK GEAR DOWN. It also reminds you to CHECK GEAR-UP if you have forgotten to raise the gear after take-off and you accelerate above the approach speed. No matter how you fly your approaches, how you manipulate your engine controls or how distracted you are the FSM2000 is your reliable gear reminder.

STALL WARNING SYSTEM. The FSM-2000 warns of stalls in two ways. Eastern Avionics will interface your stall vane on the wing to provide a warning through your headsets and on the FSM2000 display. With modern ANR headsets traditional stall warnings cannot be heard. When the stall vane toggles you will hear "STALL-STALL-STALL" through your headset. The system will also give you a "CHECK AIRSPEED" warning when you are approaching the accelerated stall speed of the aircraft. As you know an accelerated stall occurs in a bank at a speed higher than your wings level stall speed. To many pilots have inadvertently killed themselves on base to final while correcting for overshoot. Eastern Avionics will install an accelerometer and program the system to warn you with a "STALL-STALL-STALL" through your headset and flashing light when you near the accelerated stall envelope of your aircraft.

CARBON MONOXIDE WARNING SYSTEM. The FSM-2000 has the most advanced Carbon Monoxide Detection System built in. Have you ever heard of a pilot falling asleep for hours until the plane ran out of fuel and crashed? There is now a way to combat the silent killer. Most inexpensive CO detectors on the market will not give you a warning until 100 ppm or more has saturated the cockpit. When you are at cruise altitudes that kind of warning is too late. The FSM-2000 "new technology" solid-state sensor detects CO levels as low as 5 ppm for maximum safety.

OIL PRESSURE MONITOR. The FSM2000 oil pressure-sending unit is included with the package.

OIL TEMPERATURE MONITOR. The FSM2000 oil temperature voice warning is sensed from the existing oil temp system. When oil temperature is at the red line the "Check Oil Temperature" voice annunciation occurs. The voice will repeat every 5-10 seconds as the AS Warning light turns on.

OVERSPEED MONITOR When the indicated airspeed of the aircraft reaches the red line (Vne), the system will issue the "Check Airspeed" voice alert. The voice will repeat every 5 - 10 seconds as the AS Warning light turns on. We set the alert to within 5-10 knots of the Vne to prevent exceeding the airspeed limitation.

ENGINE MONITOR ANNUNCIATION For aircraft with an approved engine analyzer the FSM-2000 can be used to voice annunciate the alarm signal provided by the analyzer. When a parameter monitored by the engine analyzer is exceeded, the FSM-2000 will annunciate this alarm with "Check Engine Analyzer". The voice will repeat every 5 minutes as the AS Warning light turns on.

CYLINDER HEAD MONITOR The FSM2000 monitors cylinder head temperature from the supplied thermocouple or an input from most Engine Monitoring Systems.

FUEL PUMP MONITOR The FSM2000 lets you know when the fuel pump is selected on. It also monitors the amperage draw of the pump motor and will provide a failure alert if the motor is not functioning properly.

PITOT HEAT MONITOR The FSM2000 lets you know when the Pitot Heat is selected on. It too monitors the amperage draw of the heating element and will provide a failure alert if the element is not functioning properly.

GEAR OVERSPEED MONITOR When the indicated airspeed of the aircraft reaches the maximum gear operating / extension speed (Vlo/Vle) the system will issue the "Gear Overspeed" voice alert. The voice will repeat every 5 - 10 seconds as the AS Warning light turns on. The alert is set to within 5-10 knots of the Vlo/Vle to prevent exceeding the airspeed limitation.

VACUUM PUMP MONITOR
The FSM2000 contains an on-board vacuum sensor and provides low vacuum alert, a high vacuum alert and a vacuum failure warning.

VOLTAGE MONITOR
The FSM2000 reads bus voltage and provides high and low voltage alerts.

GPS/NAV ANNUNCIATION
GPS's available today do not include standard annunciation in the pilots primary scan area. The FSM2000 ties to your GPS to provide a positive indication of the primary NAV source selected.

WPT ANNUNCIATION
When crossing a GPS waypoint enroute or on an approach the FSM2000 provides a voice alert allowing you to concentrate on your primary scan and charts MSG This alert is LED only and is controlled by the GPS indicating a GPS message has been issued.

LEFT TANK FUEL / RIGHT TANK FUEL MONITORS
The FSM2000 monitors the fuel level from the existing fuel sending unit in the tank and will provide alerts at 25% and 10% fuel remaining.

CABIN DOOR ANNUNCIATOR For aircraft equipped with a cabin door switch, a "Check Cabin Door" alert occurs when the cabin door is not secure. The voice will repeat every 5 minutes as the AS Caution light turns on.

BAGGAGE DOOR ANNUNCIATOR For aircraft equipped with a utility door switch, the "Check Baggage Utility Door" alert occurs when the utility door is not secured. The voice will repeat every 5 minutes as the AS Caution light turns on.

The FSM2000 comes complete with installation kit, connectors, oil pressure sending unit, cylinder head thermocouple, remote processor and CO2 sensor.

HOT TIPS: The FSM2000 is one of those fantastic black boxes that once you fly with it, you will never have an airplane without it! Because it monitors virtually every critical system on your airplane; and blinks, flashes and talks to you if something is wrong; it's the ultimate accessory for single pilot flying!

P2 6601AAS AUDIO ADVISORY SYSTEM

Flying today's high-performance singles and light twins often requires your full-time attention. That is where the P2 Audio Advisory System can help. It is designed to be your "full-time electronic co-pilot" and is ideally suited for single-pilot operations in today's busy flying environment. The system provides the pilot with AUDIO (it actually communicates with the pilot through the headset and/or speaker) and VISUAL (through an illuminated annunciator) advisories. It functions by continuously monitoring airspeed and other inputs and converts them into the appropriate message. This means that whether you are busy studying an instrument approach plate, looking outside, or just conversing with your passengers, the system is there working for you. The system is the perfect backup whether flying VFR or IFR and is now approved for both non-pressurized and pressurized aircraft.

The gear warning horn commonly found in most general aviation aircraft is usually mechanical and functions relative to throttle position. As the statistics point out, that type of warning is often too late. According to an FAA Advisory Circular, over 30% of all landing accidents are still due to the fact that the landing gear was not extended! This type of accident can happen to anyone. It only takes a small distraction (especially if you fly single-pilot), and it's too late! The Audio Advisory System on the other hand, works off of airspeed. When the plane is slowed down to a preset airspeed threshold, the system will actually inform the pilot whether the "GEAR IS DOWN FOR LANDING" or to "CHECK GEAR!". The airspeed threshold is set up to your make and model of aircraft and is adjustable, upwards and downwards, in 5-knot increments.

The P2 6601 AAS also maintains a watch over any excessive airspeed and will annunciate "OVERSPEED!" anytime the speed of the aircraft reaches Vne (red line). This is a handy feature especially when flying in IFR conditions and/or at night. In addition, the AAS has an output for an optional airspeed activated Hobbs hour meter to keep track of flight (not tach) time. This means that overhauls can be done based on "time in service", not tach time. This provides potential for BIG SAVINGS for the owner! Depending on how much taxi time you accumulate, this feature alone can pay for the system in a very short time. The 6601 is the only device of it's kind on the market today that is fully FAA/PMA and STC approved so no time-consuming field approvals are required for installation. State-of-the-art solid-state technology provides extreme reliability.

The P2 6601 AAS weighs only 14 ounces and the optional Hobbs hour meter adds 3 oz. so the system will have a negligible effect on your plane's useful load. Includes a 2-Year Factory Warranty.
