WxWorx XM Satellite Data Receiver (Non Certified)
$995.00 $849.00 On Sale!
WxWorx and XM Satellite Radio are now providing a weather datalink system for aviation. WxWorx' localized, current weather information is delivered via continuous satellite broadcast of data from XM WX Satellite Weather. The new weather service not only includes standard NEXRAD radar available from other resources, but also a superior portfolio of aviation data to update you frequently on weather conditions. The low cost makes this system a great
alternative to other systems. Weather data is retrieved and updated constantly from WxWorx sources located at thousands of points across the nation to ensure you have information at your fingertips whenever and wherever you need it.
Data update rates vary by the specific data product; for instance, NEXRAD radar is updated every 5 minutes. Refreshed data is uplinked to XM's two geostationary
satellites and re-broadcast back to earth to the contiguous 48 United States and coastal waters. The windows based interface connects easily to your Tablet
PC, Electronic Flight Bag or Laptop Computer. Additional software options and upgrades can be downloaded directly from the factory web site as as they become available. XM's satellite delivery solution is driven by the most powerful commercial satellites ever placed into orbit, both are always in view and both simultaneously transmit all data.
